Not only was the statement incorrect, but it was refuted in a matter of hours by reality itself: while the message was gaining diffusion, the country was already making an export under more favorable conditions than ever.

In an event that marks a before and after for regional economies, Argentina completed the first export of honey to the European Union with a 0% tariff, within the framework of the Mercosur-EU agreement. The shipment left Concordia, Entre Ríos, and represents the beginning of a new phase for the beekeeping sector

.

The shipment —64 cartons of natural honey, with a total weight of 20,986 kilos— was destined for the German company Langnese Honig GmbH & Co., one of the main importers of the sector in Europe. Until April 30, this same product faced a 17.3% tariff, limiting its competitiveness

.

The official certification was issued by the Ministry of Economy, allowing the use of the quotas granted by the European Union to Mercosur. This confirms that the agreement is already operational and generating concrete results.

In parallel with this advance, a tweet from a Kuka circulated on social networks, stating that Argentina could not export honey to Europe due to alleged technical restrictions linked to the drums

used in transport.

The contrast highlighted the fragility of certain discourses that seek to install uncertainty in key productive sectors, even in the face of verifiable facts.

The trade agreement with the European Union opens up unprecedented opportunities for Argentine products with strong territorial roots, such as honey.

The elimination of tariffs makes it possible to improve margins, increase export volumes and generate employment in producing provinces.

The national Government highlighted the federal nature of the achievement. Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno celebrated the news as a milestone that “drives more exports, more production and more work”. Along the same lines, Governor Rogelio Frigerio emphasized the role of Entre Ríos in this first operation

.

A paradigm shift for the beekeeping sector The

confirmation of this export not only invalidates false versions, but also consolidates a new scenario for Argentine foreign trade. With preferential access to the European market, domestic honey is gaining ground in one of the most demanding destinations in the world

.

Far from the restrictions that some tried to install, the facts show the opposite path: more openness, more competitiveness and more international integration.
