The murderer Nahir Galarza was authorized by the Justice to temporarily leave Criminal Unit No. 6 of Paraná, in the province of Entre Ríos, where she has been serving a life sentence since 2018 for the crime of Fernando Pastorizzo. The measure, of an exceptional nature, was granted for “humanitarian reasons”
.
The departure took place on Wednesday morning, after a court request was approved so that the inmate could travel to the city of Gualeguaychú. There he visited his maternal grandmother, who is suffering from an oncological disease, according to
sources in the case.
The transfer was ordered by the Court for the Execution of Sentences and Security Measures No. 2 of Gualeguaychú, after a request submitted by his defender, Eduardo Gerard. The authorization was based on prior medical verification carried out by a coroner, who confirmed the family member's delicate state of health

The meeting lasted approximately one hour and took place under a strict security operation. Prison staff accompanied Galarza all the way from Paraná to her grandmother's home, supervising every instance of the
procedure.
Inspector General Alejandro Mondragon provided details about the deployment: the custody consisted of correctional officers, a driver and a responsible officer who monitored the transfer and the visit. Once the match was over, the inmate was transferred back to
the prison.
Mondragon also explained the reserved treatment of the operation: “As this is a media case, we try to handle it with the greatest possible discretion to avoid any type of disturbance.” In this regard, before entering the home, the staff carried out previous checks and maintained constant surveillance throughout their stay.

The young murderer, who has been deprived of her liberty since she was 19 years old, is staying in a ward with six other inmates in the only women's prison in Entre Ríos. Their interaction with the rest of the prison population is limited to common spaces, such as the prison yard

The case for which she was convicted dates back to the early morning of December 29, 2017, when she murdered Pastorizzo, her then partner, with two shots, one in the back and the other in the chest. The body had been found next to a motorcycle and two helmets
