She presented herself on social media as a “Peronist and feminist”, but today she is arrested and charged with the murder of her own baby: she is Camila Deviggiano Rojas, 32 years old and Chilean nationality, whose case shocks La Plata after the discovery of the body in a construction project under construction at the Faculty of Architecture of the UNLP.
The defendant had been reported missing hours before the discovery, following a complaint filed by her partner. According to the man, both were at the Children's Hospital in La Plata with the baby when, at one point, he lost contact with them. As a result of this situation, a search operation began that ended with his location and arrest in the vicinity of the center of Platense

On social networks, women defined themselves as “Peronist, feminist, daughter, mother, friend”, a description that quickly went viral after their identity became known. This fact, although not part of the judicial indictment, added to the public debate surrounding the case and the context in which the tragedy occurred

The investigation determined that the baby was found in an area under construction located at 48 and 116, inside the university campus. Next to the body, the birth certificate was found, allowing for rapid progress in identification. According to the first hypotheses, the minor could have been abandoned over the weekend, and it is not even ruled out that she was still alive at the time she was left in place.
The woman would present a psychiatric condition, which prompted her medical evaluation to be ordered after her arrest. In addition, there was a request to ascertain their previous whereabouts, which reinforces the line of investigation into a situation of vulnerability that was not

Testimonies incorporated into the case indicate that the defendant was seen traveling on a bus on line 506 to the area where the discovery finally occurred. This fact, together with the coincidence in the baby's dress, strengthens the hypothesis that it was she who left the child in the place

The case was left in the hands of federal judge Alejo Ramos Padilla, who ordered a series of key measures, including the autopsy, which will be decisive in establishing precisely the cause and time of death. Security cameras were also taken to reconstruct the women's journey
