In a gesture that highlights the camaraderie within the River squad, Marcos Acuña and Santiago Beltrán made an appearance this noon at the Cantilo training ground. There, they greeted a group of players that the club decided to separate from the main team, who are training while awaiting to define their future.

The Huevo Acuña, one of the top figures of the Millonario in the last semester, and goalkeeper Beltrán came to spend some time with their former teammates. This approach marks one of the first public displays of support from the first team towards the sidelined players.

Eduardo Coudet is still finalizing the details for the team's debut this semester, which will be on Friday against Aldosivi in Salta for the Copa Argentina. Meanwhile, the separated players continue their daily routine at Cantilo, near the Monumental, looking for an opportunity that allows them to continue their professional careers.

Among the players in this situation are Germán Pezzella, Ian Subiabre, Santiago Lencina, Alex Woiski, Giuliano Galoppo, Matías Viña, Maximiliano Salas, and Fabricio Bustos. All are awaiting offers or an agreement to terminate their contracts.

The visit from the stars

Acuña, a close friend of Pezzella due to their shared time in the Argentine National Team, had already made a previous gesture on social media. Now he approached personally, accompanied by Beltrán. The goalkeeper shared the Reserve squad with Subiabre and Lencina, and both were part of the group until the start of the World Cup.

These types of gestures reinforce the sense of group beyond technical decisions and show that, despite the separations, the bond between the players persists. It is the first public expression from a member of the main squad regarding their sidelined colleagues.

The world champion fullback and the goalkeeper, whose performances accelerated the departure of a historic player like Franco Armani, clearly demonstrated solidarity. River has already bid farewell to Armani as the "guardian of an era," and now the focus is on how the future of several squad members will be resolved.

For now, Maximiliano Meza and Paulo Díaz are the only ones who have managed to find an exit after being left out of the first team. The rest are still waiting for concrete proposals that convince them.
