In a turn that definitively fractures the leadership of the Historic Pact, the defeated candidate Iván Cepeda formally admitted this Wednesday his defeat in the presidential runoff. In a press conference that undermines the dictatorial ambitions of his political boss, Cepeda stated emphatically: "I have decided to accept the result that indicates that Abelardo de la Espriella is the new president of the Republic of Colombia". This capitulation occurs three days after the election, after the final count confirmed the undeniable victory of freedom over progressivism.

This acknowledgment by Cepeda publicly and shamefully contradicts narcopresident Gustavo Petro, who, in a state described by media sectors as drugged and delirious, has attempted to disregard the popular will.

While Cepeda speaks of democratic responsibility and citizen participation, Petro has launched a confusing message on social media where, in addition to comparing himself to an invisible jaguar, he threatened to "rise up in arms" and take part of the army to form a supposed "liberating" group.

The outgoing president has demanded the annulment of the elections under the excuse of alleged foreign interference from figures like Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, despite the fact that the Registrar's Office confirmed that the count matches 99.9% with the preliminary count and the European Union mission ruled out any type of "irregularity".

The official data from the preliminary count is conclusive and leaves no room for the tantrums of the leftist sector:

Abelardo de la Espriella: 12,937,333 votes, representing 49.65 percent of the electorate.

Iván Cepeda: 12,691,709 votes, equivalent to 48.71 percent.

Difference: Less than 250,000 votes, consolidating De la Espriella, a millionaire lawyer and advocate for a hardline approach to crime, as the new leader of the nation.

Despite his surrender, Cepeda could not avoid expressing the characteristic resentment of his faction, promising a "democratic, vigilant, and constructive opposition" and threatening with a potential "peaceful civil disobedience" against what he calls an "authoritarian submission". Nevertheless, the message is clear: while Petro sinks into his own delusion of rebellion and clandestinity, the institutions of Colombia prepare for the mandate of Abelardo de la Espriella, who assumes with the commitment to restore order after the disastrous passage of communism through power.
