After a season in which he played 57 matches and scored 21 goals between Atlético de Madrid and the Argentina National Team, Julián Álvarez began his vacation after the runner-up finish in the World Cup.

However, the break will be short. The coaching staff led by Diego Simeone has called the forward to rejoin training on August 10, along with other players who participated in the World Cup, including Juan Musso, Nahuel Molina, Giuliano Simeone, Thiago Almada, Marcos Llorente, Marc Pubill, Alex Baena, and Alejandro Grimaldo.

While the striker enjoys his vacation, Barcelona remains attentive to his situation and maintains interest in adding him to their squad for the upcoming season.

However, Atlético de Madrid maintains a firm stance. The club has already rejected an offer close to 100 million euros and made it clear that it has no intention of negotiating the departure of the former River Plate player.

With a contract valid until 2030, Julián Álvarez is considered a key piece for Simeone's sports project. For that reason, the management only contemplates a departure if any club triggers the release clause of 500 million euros.

Although it has been reported that the World Cup champion views the possibility of playing in Barcelona positively, Atlético emphasizes his professionalism and rules out any conflict with the club.
