Evangelina Anderson spoke after reporting her harasser and shared how she stopped it

Evangelina Anderson decided to provide more details about the harassment situation she went through for a while, which led her to file a formal complaint. The panelist explained that the harassment came from a person who showed up in different places where she was, and the situation became very heavy.

Everything gained more visibility after Vero Lozano went on air at Telefe to defend her with a direct warning. Anderson shared that from that moment on, the harasser stopped messaging her. “The truth is that this all went viral, and one becomes aware of the danger of the situation. I shared my experience on Vero's show, and honestly, I felt very protected by the channel,” she stated on Desayuno Americano.

The host highlighted her colleague's role: “She is very supportive, always defending women, and thanks to what this person did, he no longer wrote to me.” According to her, the problem had been dragging on since the time of MasterChef and occurred in the workplace. First, she warned, and then she had to be careful not to expose herself or be alone on the street.

Anderson avoided showing the image of the aggressor and explained why she hadn't spoken earlier: it escapes to talking about her. This time she felt encouraged because she saw herself reflected in the case of Sofía “La Reini” Gonet. “I experienced the same thing as Sofi; when I listened to her, it seemed like it was the same person. It’s a topic because you don’t know if they get scared and stop or if they get worse with the issue,” she compared.

The Void of Justice and Mental Health

The panelist also pointed out the shortcomings of the system. She said that Gonet was given a panic button, but society lacks a lot in terms of mental health. “There is a void there. Justice doesn’t help much with that,” she asserted. She emphasized that we are very unprotected in the face of these types of situations that become normalized.

For her part, Vero Lozano also spoke on the subject and explained her main annoyance. She mentioned that the harassment had occurred in the workplace and that she didn’t understand how it could happen in front of everyone with such impunity. “Eva told me who it was, and he is no longer in the workplace,” she revealed.

The host went further and reflected on a reality that many women face: “All women have had someone who has harassed us or had the intention to overstep, but no man has a harassing friend.” For her, something is happening for this to be normalized among men.

Lozano recalled that she herself experienced a similar situation. Someone used to pick her up at the radio station, and one day she left accompanied by a security man. That person never returned. “I said it to cut it off. It has happened to me, and I cut them off,” she concluded angrily.
