A mistake on Steam exposed the new Forza Horizon 6 before its release.
Additionally, several reports indicate that the game crashes automatically after finishing the first race. So far, neither Microsoft nor Playground Games have made official statements regarding the leak.
Within the community, there is also concern about possible sanctions for those who access the game early.
Some users speculate that Microsoft could impose hardware bans on those who attempt to connect online with leaked versions.
The company had already taken similar measures in Forza Horizon 5 against players linked to cheats and illegal modifications.
This type of sanction blocks access by detecting specific components of the PC, such as motherboard IDs, SSDs, or TPM data.
Beyond the leak, the anticipation surrounding Forza Horizon 6 remains extremely high. The new installment will allow players to explore settings inspired by Tokyo, Mount Fuji, and rural Japanese roads within a massive open world.
Additionally, Playground Games has already confirmed a crossover with LEGO that will include official sets based on cars from the game. Those who purchased the Premium Edition will be able to start playing early from May 15, 2026.
The official release of Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for May 19, 2026.
Forza Horizon 6 suffered a total leak just days before its official release, and the news shook the gaming community.
The new racing game from Playground Games, which will take the saga to Japan for the first time, appeared in full on the internet after an error during file distribution on Steam.
According to Insider Gaming, the studio accidentally published the preload of 155 GB without the usual encryption system.
This allowed dataminers and communities dedicated to piracy to quickly access the complete game files.
The situation worsened because, according to various reports, Forza Horizon 6 also does not include anti-tampering systems like Denuvo.
Within hours, playable leaked versions began to appear on various forums and social media.
Although the game is already circulating on the internet, those who managed to try it claim that the experience is far from stable. Users on Reddit and Twitter/X commented that many online functions do not work properly.
