Ian Subiabre now has a new destination to continue his career. With no place in the consideration of Eduardo Coudet, the forward left Riverand officially became a reinforcement for Tigre, where he will seek to accumulate the minutes he wouldn't have had at the Millonario.
The 19-year-old attacker was loaned out until December 2027, without a purchase option. The agreement includes a clause that will allow the Millonario to recover the player in any of the transfer windows of 2027, both mid-season and at the end of the season.
After the operation was finalized, Subiabre had his first contact with the Matador squad. This Saturday he was present at the Cilindro de Avellaneda, where Tigre defeated Racing 3-1 in the third round of the Torneo Clausura, and shared the day with his new teammates and the coaching staff.
The departure of the winger occurred after several weeks training separately at the Ezeiza facility with the group of players who would not be considered by Coudet and who worked apart while the management sought to resolve their future.
Subiabre was among the group of players set aside by Coudet
Initially, River intended to sell part of the young player's rights. However, the valuation set by the club, close to 8 million dollars, made it difficult to receive concrete offers, and ultimately the chosen alternative was a loan so that the player could regain prominence.
In this way, Subiabre temporarily says goodbye to Núñez after playing 44 matches with La Banda's jersey, in which he scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists. He will now face his first experience outside the club with the aim of establishing himself in the Liga Profesional and relaunching a career that has generated great expectations since the youth divisions and the Argentine lower national teams.
The other marginalized youth player who could leave
In addition to Subiabre's case, another of the young promises of the Millonario who has not managed to perform and is about to finalize his departure is Santiago Lencina.
Lencina is close to leaving River
Although he had been registered by Tigre at the close of the transfer market, the player from Chaco is very close to a loan move to Burgos in the Second Division of Spain.
