Alejandro Garnacho will continue his career in the Premier League, although with a new shirt. In recent hours, Aston Villa reached an agreement with Chelsea to acquire the Argentine winger on loan and the player is already undergoing a medical examination prior to signing his contract.
The information was confirmed by the specialized journalist Fabrizio Romano, who detailed that the loan will include a purchase obligation that will be activated if certain objectives are met, although he clarified that the conditions are considered easily achievable, so the definitive transfer for 2027 is practically guaranteed.
The transfer responds to a specific request from coach Unai Emery, who was looking to strengthen the attack after the departure of Morgan Rogers, who was transferred to Chelsea for 137 million euros. That move ultimately facilitated Garnacho's arrival at the Birmingham club.
With this transfer, the 22-year-old winger will seek to relaunch his career after a season in which he failed to establish himself at Stamford Bridge. He arrived from Manchester United for around 46 million euros, but the lack of continuity and the change of coach left him without a place in the new project led by Xabi Alonso.
At Aston Villa, he will share the squad with his compatriots Emiliano Martínez and Emiliano Buendía, in addition to facing a campaign with significant challenges, including the UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain and participation in the upcoming edition of the Champions League.

The club change also represents an opportunity to regain prominence and recover ground in the consideration of the Argentine National Team, from which he has not been called up since late 2024.
Garnacho's numbers at Chelsea
Since his arrival at the Blues in mid-last year, the Spanish-Argentine national has played 2,153 minutes, spread over 43 matches, in which he scored 8 goals, provided 4 assists, and received 3 yellow cards.
