The presidential spokesperson, Adrián Ravier, assured today that Argentina is going through a period of strong economic stability thanks to the successful economic plan of the Government of Javier Milei, and emphasized that the current scenario reflects a substantial improvement compared to the situation inherited in December 2023.
Additionally, he highlighted that the combination of fiscal balance, lower inflation, and exchange rate stability is creating favorable conditions for growth.
During a press conference at Casa Rosada, the official provided details about the financial program 2026-2027 presented by the Minister of Economy, Luis "Toto" Caputo, and emphasized the progress made in macroeconomic matters.

“Having an Argentina with low inflation, a healthy currency, a stable exchange rate, and dollars to import goods and services that reach the daily lives of people makes a big difference,” he stated.
Ravier focused on the consistency of the economic direction and its impact on confidence. He explained that the ordering of key variables allows for the consolidation of a more predictable scenario for both citizens and investors.
In this regard, he highlighted the role of the economic team and its focus on fiscal discipline as the central axis of the strategy. “The efforts being made are based on the premise of maintaining fiscal balance as an anchor for what we do in public policy,” he asserted.
Furthermore, the spokesperson valued the results achieved in financial indicators, noting that the reduction of country risk and debt in relation to GDP contribute to strengthening Argentina's position in international markets.

This process, he indicated, aims for the country to achieve an investment grade rating by the end of the current term. In this line, he also highlighted “the enormous responsibility of the economic team, which is organizing the macro while respecting the rule of law.”
In parallel, Ravier highlighted a large-scale investment in the energy sector, marking a milestone for the national industry.
The company Meitner Energy will allocate 1.2 billion dollars for the construction of a modular nuclear reactor of 300 MW at the Atucha site. The project, which will depend on the corresponding legislative approval, will be developed under the new Super RIGI scheme.
The official emphasized the magnitude of the initiative and its potential impact on employment and technological development. As detailed, the project anticipates the creation of 2,000 direct jobs and represents the largest investment in the history of the Argentine nuclear sector. Additionally, he stressed that this is the first nuclear power plant in the country to be fully financed with private capital.
“This Government is here to inaugurate a new chapter in Argentine nuclear history,” Ravier stated, who also highlighted the role of the private sector in this new phase.
“The inclusion of private capital allows for maximizing human capital and, over the coming years, will enhance sector salaries and generate better results for society,” he concluded.
