President Javier Milei confirmed this Thursday that he will hold a concert again to celebrate the significant reduction in inflation, after successfully predicting that inflation would start with "zero point something" in mid-2026.
The announcement came during his closing speech at the Council of the Americas, following the release of the wholesale inflation data for July, which stood at 0.8%.
Milei had anticipated that he would hold a celebration if inflation reached the figure he had predicted months ago. During his speech, the president reiterated his forecast and stated that he had always specifically referred to the evolution of wholesale prices.
"No matter what the media and economists think, if they review my statements, I always said the same thing about wholesale inflation. The inflation, not for August, but for July, started with 0, being 0.8%", Milei affirmed before the audience.
Based on that data, the President maintained that it was appropriate to fulfill the commitment to hold a concert. "I should keep the promise that if it started with 0 in August, I would hold a concert", he noted.
The confirmation came after someone from the front row indicated that work was already underway to organize the event. "Oh, you’re working on that, so I will do another concert. I will have to find time to rehearse, but I will do it", Milei responded.

Milei's band will return to the stage
The President's musical group already performed a concert at the Movistar Arena and is made up of various leaders and people close to the president.
The new performance will be linked to one of the main economic achievements that Milei has highlighted since the beginning of his administration: the reduction of inflation.
