The Spartak Moscow tried to advance the signing of Juan Manuel López with a proposal close to 25 million euros, but Palmeiras dismissed the operation without starting negotiations.

According to Brazilian media, the offer included 20 million euros fixed plus 5 million in performance bonuses, although the Paulista club considered that the amount is far from their economic expectations for the forward.

The response from Verdao was clear: the forward is not for sale and the institution intends to retain one of its main figures for the upcoming competitions.

Internally, Palmeiras estimates that López's market value is between 35 and 40 million euros, a figure considerably higher than that presented by the Russian team.

Additionally, the player has a contract in effect until December 2029 and has a release clause of 100 million euros, a safeguard that strengthens the Brazilian club's negotiating position against any interested parties.

Despite the initial rejection, Spartak Moscow has not abandoned its efforts. The management is maintaining conversations with the forward's camp with the intention of enticing him with a salary proposal much higher than what he currently earns at Palmeiras.

The interest from the Russian team is not new. During the previous transfer window, they had already attempted to sign the Argentine forward, although the negotiations also did not progress.
