Justice could not confirm the authenticity of the videos of Jésica Cirio in the dressing room with hundreds of dollars

The judicial investigation into the videos showing Jésica Cirio handling bundles of dollars has added a new chapter. A forensic report prepared by the Technical Analysis Laboratory of Telecommunications of the General Directorate of Investigations and Technological Support for Criminal Investigation (DATIP) concluded that it is not possible to confirm the authenticity of the recordings included in the case.

The analysis was conducted on a USB drive identified as "effect 50", which contained the seven videos presented as evidence in the case known as "Yategate", currently being processed in the Federal Criminal and Correctional Court No. 2 of Lomas de Zamora.

According to the report, the specialists could not determine with certainty when the files were created nor verify their traceability from the moment they were recorded.

One of the main findings of the report was that the creation and last access dates of the videos correspond to June 24, 2026, the moment when the files were copied to the USB drive used for the forensic analysis and not at the time they would have been recorded. Additionally, the experts noted that the modification date of the files may have been altered before the analysis.

Another highlighted point in the report is the loss of the original metadata. The binary analysis revealed that the internal timestamps of capture were at zero, a situation that, according to the specialists, usually occurs when videos undergo some prior process, such as editing, format conversion, or sending via messaging applications. This technological mediation eliminates key information needed to reconstruct the origin of the file.

The specialists also warned that several videos had identical modification dates, even down to the hours, minutes, and seconds.

According to the technical interpretation, this behavior could be compatible with a manual modification of the metadata using specific tools or with a mass transfer from another file system.

Additionally, the material was delivered without a hash code, the security mechanism that allows verification that a file has not been altered since its acquisition.

Due to this absence, the report concluded that it is not possible to guarantee the integrity or traceability of the videos from their origin.

Why could authenticity not be confirmed?

The forensic analysis also established that the seven analyzed files were simple copies stored within a directory named "copia2406", and not the original files generated by the device with which they would have been recorded.

Without the original file system or the capture metadata, the experts concluded that it is impossible to determine the authenticity of the recordings, their real origin, the context in which they were obtained, the method used to generate them, or the identity of the person who recorded them.

The technical study was not conducted on Jésica Cirio's mobile phone, but rather on the copies of the videos that were included in the case file and delivered by LA NACION.

One of the main objectives of the forensic analysis was to determine whether the images were authentic, after the host claimed that the material could have been manipulated or even generated using artificial intelligence tools.

The main hypothesis of the investigation holds that the recordings would have been made at the residence of the country club Fincas de San Vicente, where Cirio lived with her then-partner, Martín Insaurralde. However, based on the results of the technical report, the specialists indicated that there are not enough elements to confirm or rule out that possibility solely based on the analyzed files.
