The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, visited the Loma Campana field on Tuesday, located in the Vaca Muerta formation in the province of Neuquén, as part of her official agenda in Argentina.
The official arrived in the morning at Presidente Perón airport and engaged in an activity that included a tour of the hydrocarbon area alongside the Minister of Economy, Luis "Toto" Caputo, and the Deputy Minister, José Luis Daza.
The itinerary included a visit between 10 and 12, although the schedule was extended and concluded around 1 PM. During her visit to the field, Georgieva was welcomed by the president of YPF, Horacio Marín, who acted as host and led the presentation to the international delegation.

From the state company, they highlighted the strategic nature of the meeting and the exchange that took place during the day. Through his account on the social network X, Marín expressed: “We welcomed Kristalina Georgieva, Luis Caputo, and their teams to Loma Campana, where we showed them firsthand the energy transformation of the country and the enormous potential Argentina has to become a global energy exporter.”
In the same post, he added that they held a productive meeting and detailed part of the technical tour: “she was able to see the work of our people, the companies that accompany us every day, and the level of technology and efficiency we have achieved.”
