The chancellor Pablo Quirno is participating this Thursday in Washington in an international meeting convened by the administration of President Donald Trump to strengthen cooperation among countries in the face of threats from extreme left transnational terrorism.

The meeting brings together representatives from more than 60 countries, with the aim of coordinating strategies to improve information sharing, cut off funding sources for violent organizations, and deepen international cooperation on security matters.

Argentina's presence reaffirms the alignment of Javier Milei's government with Western democracies in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, and transnational threats.

The United States seeks to coordinate a global response

During the opening of the meeting, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that leftist extremist organizations are developing coordinated strategies to destabilize democratic societies through attacks on citizens, public officials, security forces, businesses, and critical infrastructure.

In this context, the Trump administration is promoting greater coordination among allied countries, encouraging intelligence sharing, judicial cooperation, and the development of joint mechanisms to prevent the financing and expansion of these organizations.

The initiative is part of the international security strategy promoted by the White House to address threats that transcend national borders.

Argentina deepens cooperation on security matters

The participation of Chancellor Pablo Quirno reflects the Argentine government's decision to strengthen strategic ties with the United States and consolidate a common agenda on security, defense, and the fight against terrorism.

Since the beginning of Javier Milei's administration, Argentine foreign policy has prioritized cooperation with major Western countries, promoting joint actions against terrorism, drug trafficking, and other forms of organized crime.

The meeting in Washington represents a new step in that strategy of international coordination, aimed at reinforcing the capacity to respond to threats that affect democratic stability and global security.

More than 60 countries work on a common agenda

The meeting convened by the U.S. administration brings together delegations from more than 60 countries, analyzing mechanisms to strengthen international cooperation, improve information flow between security agencies, and develop coordinated responses to transnational terrorism.

The Argentine government considers that international cooperation is essential to confront organizations that operate beyond borders and use funding, logistics, and propaganda networks on a global scale.

By participating in this summit, Argentina reaffirms its commitment to defending democracies, international security, and strengthening strategic alliances with the United States and countries committed to the fight against terrorism.
