After several days of unstable weather but without significant precipitation, the National Meteorological Service anticipates the return of rain to the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires. According to the official forecast, humid conditions will be especially felt during the weekend.

Residents of Buenos Aires and the surrounding areas should be alert because the chances of precipitation increase significantly starting Saturday.

For Thursday, June 4, fog is expected during the early morning with a minimum temperature of 14 degrees. The sky will be mostly cloudy throughout the day, and there is only a 10% chance of precipitation between the morning and afternoon. The maximum will reach 17 degrees.

Friday, June 5, will continue with a mostly cloudy sky. The chances of rain remain low, around 10% during the morning and afternoon. Temperatures will range from a minimum of 14 degrees to a maximum of 19 degrees.

Storms return this weekend: what day it rains in Buenos Aires, according to the SMN

The weekend brings rain

Saturday, June 6, is expected to be a transition day towards wetter conditions. The minimum will be 15 degrees, and the sky will be mostly cloudy in the morning. In the afternoon, isolated rain chances are expected to be between 10 and 40%, with a maximum of 18 degrees.

Sunday, June 7, will be the most unstable day. In the morning, isolated rain chances are forecasted to be between 10 and 40%, while in the afternoon, the chances of showers remain in the same range. The minimum temperature will drop to 13 degrees, and the maximum will only reach 16 degrees.

These conditions mark the return of storms to the Buenos Aires area after a drier period. Experts recommend checking updates from the SMN for possible last-minute changes.

The forecast indicates that the rains will not be intense but will be sufficient to disrupt outdoor plans on Saturday night and Sunday. Both in the City of Buenos Aires and in the surrounding suburbs, umbrellas and warm clothing will need to be prepared.

Temperatures will remain cool throughout the weekend, with maximums not exceeding 18 degrees. This is typical for this time of year in the Pampas region.

How the weather will continue in the coming days

According to official data, the AMBA will experience cloudy days with a low probability of rain until Friday. Only on Saturday afternoon will the chances of precipitation begin to increase.

Meteorological authorities emphasize that the probabilities range from 10 to 40%, which means it is not a certain event but is likely in some areas of Greater Buenos Aires.

Residents should take precautions, especially on Sunday, when isolated rains in the morning combine with showers in the afternoon. The lowest temperature on Sunday, at 13 degrees, will make it feel cooler.

This type of forecast is common in the Buenos Aires autumn-winter, where humid fronts bring instability to the Río de la Plata.
