Scandal in national rugby: alleged abuse of female hockey players during a “third half”

The Bella Vista Regatas Club was at the center of a scandal following complaints of alleged sexual abuse and adulteration of beverages during a “third half” held on March 24, after a rugby match against Los Tilos.

According to testimonies, audiovisual content and chats that began to circulate on social networks, hockey players from the club itself, in the First and Middle categories, were victims of a maneuver in which their drinks were adulterated without consent. “They punctured the glasses of the mines with a drug that makes them deliver,” says one of the messages that took public notice and raised alarm

According to these versions, some young women would have lost their will after consuming these drinks, leaving them in a situation of extreme vulnerability.

In this context, alleged multiple sexual abuses that occurred inside the club's facilities, particularly in the “Centenario” barbecue, are being investigated and may have been recorded

On the other hand, sources close to the investigation confirmed that the Justice has already initiated preliminary actions to clarify whether there was a coordinated plan to adulterate beverages and establish who participated in the events reported.

Meanwhile, the episode, which once again negatively involves rugby, generated a strong impact on the Buenos Aires sports environment and reopens the debate on the need for prevention protocols and action against situations of violence in spaces linked to sports, especially in social contexts such as the traditional “third period”.

The “Honey of Love”, the alleged drug used

on social networks and nighttime environments as a supposed and natural sexual stimulant.

It is usually sold in small sachets and is promoted as a mixture of honey with natural components such as ginseng or coffee. However, different international health organizations warn that it is an illegal product.

Different studies found that many of these samples contain Sildenafil and Tadalafil, active ingredients present in medications for erectile dysfunction, such as Viagra or Cialis, which pose severe risks if consumed without medical supervision.

Specialists point out that its intake can cause serious adverse effects, such as sudden changes in blood pressure, severe headaches, cardiovascular complications or even priapism,

a condition that requires urgent attention.

Despite the risks, its circulation grew driven by viral content and its sale in the clandestine market, where it can be obtained on digital platforms, sex shops or through informal vendors.
