Big Brother: Golden Generation is in its final hours and only three participants remain inside the house. After the elimination of Luana Fernández, Charlotte Caniggia, Solange Abraham, and Gisela “Yipio” Pintos became the finalists of an edition that will have a different outcome than expected.
Although it was initially anticipated that Monday, September 14 would be the big night, Telefe decided to extend the finale for two more days. Thus, the name of the champion will only be revealed on Wednesday the 16th, after a series of special programs that will progressively reduce the number of players.
It was Santiago del Moro who explained how the last week of the reality show will be organized. Instead of resolving the three positions during a single gala, the production will distribute the finale across different broadcasts.
Big Brother already has its three finalists
This decision will allow the public's positive voting to remain open for a longer time, which will determine who takes home the grand prize. Until the Wednesday before the final, the voting had already surpassed eight million votes.
When will the Big Brother final be
The first step of the finale will take place on Monday, September 14, when it will be announced who takes the third place. That participant will have to leave the house, leaving only two competitors in the race for the title.
According to polls circulating on social media, Charlotte Caniggia appears to have the best chances of taking third place. However, these surveys do not represent the official result, and the only valid voting is that conducted by the public through the channels enabled by the program.
On Tuesday the 15th, there will be a special and more intimate broadcast. Del Moro will enter to have dinner with the two participants who continue in the competition, a dynamic that will serve as a prelude to the final gala.
If the trends in the polls hold, that meeting could feature Yipio and Solange, two participants who had strong confrontations during their time in the house. In any case, we will have to wait for the result on Monday to know who the two finalists will actually be.
Finally, on Wednesday, September 16, the winner of Big Brother: Golden Generation will be revealed. One of the two participants remaining in the competition will receive the highest number of positive votes, lift the trophy, and be responsible for the traditional moment of turning off the lights in the house.
Why Telefe decided to extend the Big Brother final
With the new scheme, Telefe transformed the final into a three-night event, instead of concentrating the results into a single gala. Thus, the third place will be revealed first, then there will be a special meeting with the last two players, and only on Wednesday will the champion be announced.
The programming will not end immediately after turning off the lights in the house. On Thursday the 17th, at 10:15 PM, “The Night of Champions” will air, a special program that will mark the definitive closure of the season.
In this way, the last week will be organized as follows: Monday the 14th, third place; Tuesday the 15th, Del Moro's dinner with the two finalists; Wednesday the 16th, proclamation of the winner; and Thursday the 17th, “The Night of Champions”.
