In the context of the investigation initiated by the murder of Agostina Vega in the province of Córdoba, the plaintiff's attorney Fernanda Alaniz, representing the victim's father, announced that she will formally request to modify the aggravation of the criminal charge imposed on Marianela Palmero, partner of Claudio Barrelier. The attorney stated that the new evidentiary elements recently incorporated into the judicial file demonstrate a direct involvement that exceeds the procedural figure of simple concealment. The request will seek for the justice system to attribute to the woman the status of participant in the case investigating the crime committed against the young woman.
The request driven by the plaintiff's representation is based on the forensic analyses conducted on the mobile devices seized from the property located at Juan del Campillo 878. Among the units analyzed by the expert team are the phones belonging to the accused Claudio Barrelier and to Ludmila, one of the last detainees housed in the residence. Evaluating the results of the phone openings, Fernanda Alaniz expressed: “The crime unfolded in several stages and due to the evidence being incorporated into the case, I have fewer doubts and more certainties that this woman participated more than just in concealment.”
According to the accumulated reports, the information extracted from the cell phones allowed for the reconstruction of Claudio Barrelier's movements and the behavior exhibited by his partner. In her statements made to the media, Fernanda Alaniz stated: “There is evidence taken from Barrelier's phone that reveals what movements he made and where he went, and it also emerges from the same opening of the phone of the last detainee, Ludmila, that Marianela was looking for ways to clear the path for Barrelier even while already knowing.”
According to lawyer Fernanda Alaniz, Palmero was very close to the location where the murder was committed, and there is no way she could not have known
Forensic Evidence and Charges in the Case
The elements incorporated by the judicial experts indicate that the remains of Agostina Vega remained in a defined area of the home during the sequence of events. Regarding the physical location of the evidence in the property at Juan del Campillo 878, Fernanda Alaniz emphasized: “I know that Agostina, her remains, were in the house in an area where she, Palmero, was very close and there is no way she could not have known. There is evidence.” In light of this procedural scenario, the plaintiff's representative announced that she will also seek the possible expansion of charges against another of the accused.
Prior to the submission of the judicial document, attorney Fernanda Alaniz published a series of messages through her digital platforms to reaffirm the progress of the lawsuit. In one of the images shared with white text on a black background, the professional confirmed: “Today I am requesting that the charges be expanded.” Furthermore, the plaintiff's attorney added on the same social network: “Sick, monsters, they have no forgiveness, no one will save them, I wish them the worst,” reflecting her institutional stance regarding those involved.
The criminal file for the murder of the teenager continues to accumulate technical expert reports and content analysis on the digital supports seized by the investigators. The prosecuting attorney in the province of Córdoba will evaluate the documents submitted by the plaintiff to determine whether to modify the legal qualifications of the detainees. The judicial proceedings will continue with the aim of clarifying the individual responsibilities of each of the investigated parties in the criminal case.
