Marcelo Tinelli threw another jab at his old media rival, Mario Pergolini. In a relaxed conversation, the Cabezón issued a public challenge that is already making waves in the Argentine entertainment world: he invited the host of Otro Día Perdido to step into the ring for a boxing match.
“My kids want to see me fight Mario,” Tinelli said boldly during an interview with Lucas Rodríguez, the face of Parense de Manos, the show that pits celebrities against each other in the ring. He went further: “I feel like he won't last even half a round.”
The proposal has an extra twist because Rodríguez is part of Vorterix, the streaming channel where Pergolini is one of the owners. This adds a spicier flavor to a story that dates back to the 90s.
A long-standing rivalry
The jabs between Tinelli and Pergolini date back to the early 90s, when both dominated the small screen with very different styles. Beyond the on-air jokes, the matter now seems to be taking a more physical turn. Tinelli, at 66 years old, appeared confident and even joked about the possibility of ending up knocked out.
