The Argentine Industrial Union highlighted the initiative to connect large investment projects with national suppliers and capture part of the disbursements from the RIGI for the local industry
The Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), under the leadership of Martín Rappallini, has categorically supported the “RIGI Business Rounds”, the innovative initiative presented by the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, to connect large investment projects with national suppliers. The manufacturing entity described this measure as a opportunity for the country's productive framework to capture the disbursements generated by these ventures.
In an official statement, the UIA expressed: “We celebrate the initiative announced by the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, regarding the 'RIGI Business Rounds' to link investment projects with local suppliers”. The organization emphasized that this scheme is part of the joint work carried out with the Ministry of Economy and highlighted the premise that large disbursements “can and should generate opportunities for the entire Argentine productive framework”.

Furthermore, the leadership headed by Martín Rappallini stated that “Argentine companies have the capabilities, knowledge, and experience to be part of large investment projects”.
To enhance this integration process, the UIA defined three axes of coordinated work among sectors: the integration of the productive chain, the development of local suppliers, and the necessary infrastructure. The goal of this agenda is to ensure that the economic dynamism derived from the regime translates into “more productive capacities throughout the territory”.
As part of the growth agenda promoted by the Government, the “RIGI Business Rounds” driven by Minister Luis Caputo aim for the companies adhering to the regime to spill part of their disbursements onto local firms. This coordinated mechanism allows both investors and SMEs “to be aware of the investment schedule and the generation of new business opportunities for their goods or services supplying companies”.

Evaluating the concrete results of the economic model, Minister Luis Caputo highlighted the success of the program, stating: “The RIGI investments are already impacting the entire country, with 86% of the invested amount directed to national companies and over 1,200 suppliers mobilized”.
The Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI), incorporated through the Framework Law in 2024 and valid until July 2027, positions itself as the central engine to attract large-scale capital, with particular strength in key areas such as Mining and Oil.
Currently, the evaluation committee is analyzing 20 files that gather investment commitments of USD 110.883 billion and project the creation of 145,615 additional jobs. The regime establishes highly attractive conditions for the arrival of capital: a reduced rate of the income tax of 25% (compared to the 35% of the general regime), immediate VAT refunds, the elimination of export withholdings starting from the second year, and guarantees of fiscal and legal stability for periods of between 30 and 40 years.

In terms of development infrastructure, the UIA highlighted the decision of the company TGN to proceed with the construction of the Manuel Belgrano Gas Pipeline, a project designed to transport gas from Vaca Muerta to the center, north, and coast of the country. The industrial entity emphasized that this project “will solve the supply problems faced by small and large companies in our industry”.
Moreover, the organization stated that “Attracting investments and developing suppliers also requires having the necessary infrastructure to produce”, positioning energy as “a fundamental factor for the competitiveness of the industry throughout the country”. To translate this energy availability into greater national production, the UIA maintains coordinated work with TGN focused on ensuring inputs at competitive prices.
