The case involving the former Kirchnerist mayor of Lomas de Zamora, Martín Insaurralde, and his ex-wife, Jesica Wanda Judith Cirio, adds a new chapter with the emergence of exclusive videos showing large sums of cash, which could deepen the ongoing judicial investigations.
There are seven audiovisual recordings released by the media outlet La Nación, where Cirio appears in what seems to be a men's dressing room, filmed by herself.
The images reveal several millions of dollars stored in transparent plastic bags, carefully organized in drawers and shelves that were originally intended for storing clothing and footwear.
The material, dated 2023, is said to have been recorded in one of the rooms of the master bedroom that the couple shared in their residence located in the Fincas de San Vicente neighborhood, in the southern part of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area.
The property featured spacious areas, including multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, a daily dining room, a gym, a laundry room, and service quarters on the ground floor, while the upper floor exclusively housed the couple's bedroom.
In that private section of the house is where the images of the money were reportedly recorded. The space included a main dressing room belonging to Cirio, located behind the head of the bed, and another area designated for Insaurralde, configured as a hallway with storage spaces on both sides. At one end, a mirror allows the model to be seen while filming.
Martín Insaurralde and Cristina Kirchner
The context in which these videos appear is particularly sensitive. Insaurralde and Cirio married in December 2014 and separated in November 2022, formalizing their divorce in July 2023.
Subsequently, the scandal known as “yategate,” which exposed the former Kirchnerist official on a luxury yacht in Marbella alongside Sofía Clerici, led to multiple allegations of illicit enrichment and money laundering.
In fact, in 2024, the Federal Chamber of Criminal Cassation confirmed the general asset freeze of Insaurralde, Clerici, and Cirio, as part of a case investigating possible maneuvers linked to those criminal figures.
The origin of these videos is also surrounded by controversy. According to reports, the material was mentioned by journalist Diego Suárez, who claimed to have seen it after a presentation made by Elías Piccirillo, Cirio's current partner at that time, who is now under house arrest in a case involving alleged judicial maneuvers and operations with the blue dollar.
The advancement of this evidence adds to an investigation that had already gained public relevance following the dissemination of images of luxury abroad, and now could acquire a new dimension with the emergence of these audiovisual recordings.
