A 54-year-old merchant was tortured and killed during a violent raid that occurred last Friday in the Buenos Aires party of Ituzaingó, in a context of strong insecurity in the province governed by the ultra-Kirchnerist Axel Kicillof.
A suspect was arrested for the crime in the City of Buenos Aires, while investigators continue to search for other alleged members of the gang.
The victim was identified as Andrés Aníbal Cerviño, who was attacked in his home located on 900 Bacacay Street, between General Miguel Soler and General Las Heras. According to the investigation, several criminals entered the house for the purpose of robbery and subjected the merchant to a brutal assault that ended with his death

The crime was discovered by the victim's sister. According to sources in the case, the woman went to the house to visit him and when she arrived she noticed that the front door was open. Faced with this situation, he entered the house and walked to his brother's room

There he found Cerviño lying on the floor, tied hands and feet, in the midst of a major disorder caused by criminals while looking for cash and valuables. He also observed that the grille on one of the windows had been forced

After the discovery, medical personnel from SAME went to the scene and found that the merchant was already dead.
The investigation was carried out by prosecutor María Alejandra Bonini, head of UFI No. 2 in Ituzaingó, who ordered the analysis of private and municipal security cameras in the area to identify those responsible.
The brutal gang of criminals
The images made it possible to detect the vehicle in which the suspects were traveling: a gray Renault Fluence. Investigators determined that the same car had been used five days earlier in another driveway against a retiree, whose fingertips were burned by criminals
.
During the investigative tasks, it was also found that the vehicle had been published in October 2025 on the Facebook Marketplace platform through a false profile in the name of Ariel Gutierrez, where it was offered for sale even though it was inhibited.

It was also established that the car was registered in a travel application, which allowed progress in identifying the person authorized
to use it.
With the collaboration of the digital rings and the Buenos Aires City Monitoring Center, the car was located while driving through the intersection of Castañares and Larrazábal avenues, one block from the Dellepiane highway, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Mataderos.
In that place, City Police officers intercepted the vehicle and arrested its driver, identified as Víctor Fernando David Cequeira, 42. The suspect was wearing a yellow cap that he had worn in both criminal acts
under investigation.
After the arrest, prosecutor Bonini ordered the kidnapping of the defendant's car and cell phone. Hours later, DDI Morón personnel and City Police officers raided his home in the City of Buenos Aires, where they seized three other mobile phones that will be searched for evidence.
Cequeira was charged with the crimes of homicide on the occasion of robbery and aggravated robbery under the modality of entry for both cases investigated.
In parallel, the prosecutor requested an autopsy on Cerviño's body. The preliminary report determined that the merchant died of asphyxiation due to compression and suffocation. In addition, he had multiple injuries to his face and both legs, which evidences the violence of the attack suffered during the assault
