Fifteen Argentine refrigerators negotiated with more than 50 U.S. importers during Argentine Meat Week in Philadelphia, a trade mission promoted by the Government to expand the presence of domestic meat in one of the most important markets in the world.

The initiative, developed together with the Foreign Ministry, ProArgentina, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and the IPCVA, is part of the official strategy to consolidate Argentina as a reliable, competitive supplier with the capacity to scale in the United States.

The trade mission took place between April 27 and May 1 in Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles, three strategic centers for the entry and expansion of food products with high added value. The Argentinian delegation was made up of 15 national refrigerators, which participated in business rounds, tastings and commercial presentations to key players in the US market

.

The objective was to consolidate Argentine meat as a premium, reliable and competitive product in one of the most demanding markets in the world. The Foreign Ministry played an active role in building agendas, generating contacts and establishing direct links between Argentine companies, importers, distributors and

references in the American gastronomic sector.

More than 40 importers from the United States participated in meetings with Argentine companies. In addition, the promotional actions reached representatives of hotels, restaurants, catering companies, supermarket chains and distributors, which made it possible to expand the visibility of the national product in high-value segments

.

The initiative takes place in a context of deepening the strategic relationship with the United States, which is already showing concrete results for the productive sector. The expansion of the beef export quota from 20,000 to 100,000 tons represents a change of scale for Argentine livestock and opens a new frontier of growth for exports

.

One of the central points of the agenda was the visit to the PhilaPort port, in Philadelphia, where nearly 40% of Argentine beef exports are channeled to the United States. There, representatives of the Meat Import Council of America and port authorities highlighted Argentina's reliability as a supplier and supported the continuity of the business scheme

The numbers confirm the market's potential. During the first quarter of 2026, Argentine exports of boneless beef to the United States reached USD 175 million and 21,400 tons. With the expansion of the quota, the additional growth margin is between USD 600 and USD 800 million.

The progress shows a foreign policy focused on concrete results: opening markets, strengthening the private sector and converting Argentine competitiveness into more exports, investment and employment. During the second semester, the strategy will continue with new promotional actions in Florida, Georgia and Texas.
