Yanina Latorre held nothing back and went straight for Tamara Pettinato after she started rumors about a supposed conflict between Lionel Messi and Sofi Martínez during the 2026 World Cup.

On her radio show on El Observador, the host questioned Pettinato's statements on Instagram, where she had mentioned that Messi was "acting hysterically" with the Telefe journalist. Latorre was harsh and labeled her as a bold person.

Additionally, she recalled past situations involving Pettinato and reproached her for being selectively feminist. "Stop making things up about the girl," she said in reference to Sofi Martínez.

According to Latorre, these comments only create unnecessary problems in the personal lives of those involved, such as potential arguments with Antonela Roccuzzo, the captain's wife.

The strong response from the host

The journalist stayed true to her style and didn't hold back: "She's bad news, she's bold." This way, she made her annoyance with the rumors circulating during the tournament clear.

Latorre commented on Messi's gesture after Argentina's 3-2 victory over Cape Verde. The captain approached Sofi Martínez in the mixed zone, greeted her with a kiss on the cheek, and said: "Then they say I don't greet you, that if I look at you, that I don't look at you. If I look at you, it's because I look at you, if I greet you, it's because I greet you."

Sofi Martínez's response

The journalist greatly appreciated the captain's gesture. Immediately after the exchange, she shared with her colleagues at Telefe that the greeting was related to the noise generated during the week and that it made no sense.

"It's all lies," Sofi Martínez stated. She explained that sometimes she prefers not to say anything because working shows that everything is fine and that there is none of what is being said.

Despite that, Messi decided to approach just to make it clear that there is no problem and that both are doing their jobs normally. The moment was filled with laughter and was very positive for the communicator.
