The Government of Daniel Noboa announced that the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved financing of USD 250 million to strengthen the purchase of medicines and improve medical care in Ecuador. The agreement was finalized as part of the project "Improvement of the quality of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services for non-communicable chronic diseases."
The Presidency reported that the project was managed directly by Daniel Noboa in meetings with the executive vice president of the IDB, Jordan Schwartz, and the director for Ecuador, Roberto Izurieta. The initiative is part of the Government's health modernization plan, which seeks to guarantee supply, efficiency, and transparency in the national health system.
