President Donald Trump arrived this Wednesday at the G7 summit, held this year in France, telling reporters and world leaders gathered a simple phrase: "I am the boss". The video capturing that moment was published by the White House on its social media.
Aside from the humorous aspect, in the geopolitical arena, Trump seems to have achieved most of what he wanted from the meeting with the allied countries of the US, including a joint declaration of support for his peace agreement with Iran.
"We welcome the announcement of an agreement between the United States and Iran achieved under the firm leadership of President Trump with the support of mediating countries, which provides a historic opportunity to prevent Iran from acquiring any nuclear weapons and to address threats related to its regional and ballistic activities," declared the Group of Seven in a statement.
The countries also affirmed alongside Trump that the Iranian regime "will never obtain a nuclear weapon" and promised to conduct "robust and diplomatic follow-up" to the Memorandum of Understanding negotiated by the US president, which will be signed this Friday. In line with the previously expressed sentiments, the G7 supported an "immediate and robust ceasefire" in Lebanon that ultimately achieves the disarmament of the terrorist group Hezbollah.

Trump and a denunciation of European inaction
"Everyone wants to participate. There’s no reason to have them. It’s almost over, but everyone wants to participate", Trump said in reference to the Europeans, who now want to help in the reopening of Hormuz after refusing to combat Tehran. In turn, the president issued a warning if the Iranians fail to comply with the agreement: "If they don’t behave, we will immediately go back to dropping bombs right in the middle of their heads".
