The president dismissed the idea that Iran is behind the attack and referred to the incompetence and corruption of the Democratic governor

President Donald Trump stated this Friday morning, during his cabinet meeting at Camp David, that he believes the Democratic governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, is the responsible for the cyberattack in the state and not the Iranians.

A cyberattack targeting water systems in at least seven states was reported this week. 30 water systems across Minnesota were affected and multiple federal agencies were investigating the cause. Initially, it was suspected that the Iranian regime was behind the hacking due to the ongoing war with the United States.

But Trump, briefly addressing the incident, dismissed this possibility. "I just want to mention that today we heard there was a cyberattack in Minnesota and they blame Iran. I don’t believe it,” the president stated. "I blame Minnesota because it is grossly incompetent," he concluded.

"There was a cyberattack on 30 water plants, and I would attribute it to Minnesota and the governor, the corrupt governor of Minnesota," the president added, referring to the ultra-democrat Walz. "Iran should be so lucky. Iran has bigger problems to worry about than Minnesota," he noted.

Minnesota, a nest of Democratic corruption

"I believe the governor is behind this. I don’t think there was an Iranian cyberattack. I think Minnesota should get its house in order. It is one of the worst-managed states," Trump said, who also brought up the work that the White House's anti-fraud task force, led by Vice President Vance, is doing while investigating corruption in the state governed by the Democratic Party.

On April 16, agents from the Trump administration's Department of Agriculture executed search warrants at 20 retail businesses authorized by the federal SNAP assistance program in Minnesota, under suspicion of illegal trafficking of food assistance benefits.

In May, thanks to the work of the group led by Vance, Justice announced that 15 operatives of the Democratic Party in Minnesota were charged in an operation that dismantled a $90 million fraud in the state, which was described as "historic."
