How much will the salary of commerce employees increase in August 2026

A new collective agreement has been reached for commerce employees in the country. The Argentine Federation of Commerce and Service Employees (FAECyS), along with the main industry chambers (CAC, CAME, and UDECA), set the salary guidelines for the July-September 2026 quarter.

The agreement establishes staggered increases, an additional fixed amount, and the extension of the integration of a non-remunerative allowance, among the main points reached by the parties.

What is the increase for commerce employees

The total agreed increase is 5.7%, distributed in three non-cumulative monthly installments:

• July 2026: 1.9%

• August 2026: 1.9%

• September 2026: 1.9%

To calculate these increases, the salary scales of the Collective Labor Agreement (CCT) No. 130/75 corresponding to June 2026 are used, including the non-remunerative amounts in effect at that date.

How the extraordinary allowance of $50,000 will be paid

Along with the percentage increase, the employer chambers and the union agreed to pay a one-time fixed amount of $50,000, which is non-remunerative, to be paid in two equal installments:

• July 2026: $25,000 (along with the month's settlement)

What happens with the non-remunerative amount of $120,000

A key point of the agreement is the extension for the integration of the non-remunerative allowance of $120,000 into the basic salary. Although its transfer was originally planned for the short term, the parties decided to postpone it and carry it out gradually, in six installments of $20,000 each:

• December 2026: $20,000

• January 2027: $20,000

• February 2027: $20,000

• March 2027: $20,000

• April 2027: $20,000

• May 2027: $20,000

Meanwhile, the pending amounts will continue to be settled under the regulatory scheme established in the previous agreement.

When will there be a new salary review

The new agreement is in effect from July 1, 2026. However, the parties agreed to reconvene at a negotiation table in October 2026 to analyze the behavior of the general price level and evaluate possible salary adjustments for the last part of the year.
