Four Palestinian women died on Wednesday night after an Iranian attack, after missile fragments hit a women's hairdresser in the city of Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron, in the West Bank.
The event marks a significant change in the impact of the attacks in the area, where until now there have been no fatalities.
The information was confirmed by the Palestinian Red Crescent and press reports, while the official agency of the Palestinian Authority, Wafa, explained that the victims were inside the beauty salon when it was hit by fragments of an Iranian missile.

Thirteen other people were reportedly injured in the same incident, one of them in critical condition. Wafa explained that the wreckage of the missile directly hit the site, while additional fragments fell at different points in the Hebron governorate
.
While material damage and injuries had previously been reported in Palestinian regions of the West Bank as a result of Iranian air strikes, no deaths had been reported so far.
“As we understand it, a missile submunition, one of these cluster munitions, fell on a women's hairdresser, causing deaths and injuries,” said a local journalist.

The incident occurs in the context of a regional escalation marked by missile attacks launched by Iran, which have had a sustained impact on Israel, Gulf countries and other areas of the Middle East for 20 days

That same Wednesday, a man died in Moshav Adanim, in the Israeli Sharon region, after an Iranian missile attack. According to the emergency service, the victim was found unconscious among metal debris and later declared dead on the spot.
In nearby Arab-Israeli towns, people were also reported injured by shrapnel, while in Tel Aviv an eight-story building caught fire after the impact of another missile, according to local media reports.
