The journalist assured that the referee appointment for the 2026 World Cup final was driven by political interests and stated that "Infantino needed a European champion" to ensure his continued leadership of FIFA

The 2026 World Cup final has been marked by a historic plunder orchestrated by the bureaucratic elite of FIFA and UEFA, where Gianni Infantino sacrificed the Argentina National Team in a pact of political survival in the face of threats of removal from Aleksander Čeferin

Journalist Pablo Carrozza, who has a massive audience of over 200,000 followers on Instagram and an influential YouTube channel, has uncovered what he calls the "master plan" behind the plunder in the 2026 World Cup final. Carrozza, known for his closeness and friendship with Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia, president of the AFA —whom he often defends in his journalistic interventions— argues that football as a sport has died to give way to a commercial football governed by the reelection of Gianni Infantino.

According to Carrozza's exposé, the crux of the theft was Infantino's need to secure his continuity. The head of FIFA was being heavily questioned by European federations and threatened with removal as president.

With the support of Conmebol guaranteed, but facing a UEFA led by Aleksander Čeferin, Infantino would have understood that "he needed a European champion" to obtain the necessary endorsements for the Congress in Morocco in 2027.

Under this evident institutional pressure, an agreement would have been sealed: in exchange for political support, the final was left in the hands of a completely Slovenian refereeing team, compatriots of Čeferin: Slavko Vinčić as the main referee, along with Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič. Carrozza was blunt in denouncing that "the referee did not go to a draw", but was a surgical appointment to benefit Spain.

The journalist based his accusation on irrefutable statistics that demonstrate the conditioning suffered by the National Team:

Outrageous sanctions: Spain committed 19 fouls and received 0 yellow cards, while Argentina recorded between 24 and 26 fouls, but was punished with 5 yellow cards and the expulsion of Enzo Fernández.

The Vinčić precedent: Spain had never lost with this referee (6 unbeaten matches after the final), while the only two World Cup defeats of Argentina under Scaloni (Saudi Arabia in 2022 and Spain in 2026) occurred under his officiating.

Referee's record: It was ignored that in 2020, Vinčić was arrested in a raid for "prostitution, drugs, and weapons", and even "attempted to escape the scene" on a boat.

Carrozza also linked the result to the betting business and individual awards. He denounced that the match for third place between France and England (6-4) was a "wink from Infantino" for Kylian Mbappé to surpass Messi as the top scorer, in a match where the French defenses were suspiciously permeable. In his view, FIFA needed to distribute honors in Europe to pacify UEFA.

Despite playing with "four injured defenders" and suffering the "insane" expulsion of Enzo Fernández, the National Team held out until the 115th minute. The journalist highlighted the "Maradonian" effort of Nicolás Tagliafico and the historic performance of Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez, who with a "broken finger" made 11 saves, a record in finals since 1966.

In conclusion, Carrozza asserts that, although the European offices snatched the physical cup, the true victory was the sovereignty demonstrated by the players when they displayed the flag of the Malvinas in front of England, a patriotic symbol that FIFA tried to censor but that the Argentine people embrace as their true achievement.
