As part of a series of operations aimed at strengthening the control of crime and illegal activities in vulnerable areas, the Police closed for the third time in less than two years a clandestine clinic operating inside Villa 31. The facility, which operated without official authorization and with serious health irregularities, also treated, as confirmed by the authorities, suspects with gunshot wounds, setting off new alarms about the presence of structures parallel to the formal health system. The procedure was performed in a home located on 500 Alpaca Street, where the officers detected a fully operational medical and dental office. At the site there were patients on the waiting list, supplies prepared for use and documentation confirming the continuity of care, despite previous closures

.

The clinic operated in a house adapted as a clandestine health facility. Three complete offices, an X-ray machine and a system of updated medical records had been installed there. However, the place operated without a license, with expired medications and without meeting basic health standards. The authorities also confirmed that the office treated even suspects with gunshot

wounds.

The operation was led by the Special Investigations Division and is part of a series of actions initiated some time ago in the same area.

During the search, more than 300 boxes of medicines were seized, of which 101 were expired, in addition to medical stamps, medical records, dental equipment and the above-mentioned X-ray device. At the beginning of the inspection, only one receptionist, a 31-year-old woman of Paraguayan nationality, was present.

Soon after, a 42-year-old Argentinian doctor, and a 41-year-old Bolivian dentist arrived at the scene, who tried to prove their activity by presenting digital license plates. The Government Control Agency (AGC) drew up an act for violation of the closure, while personnel from the Ministry of Health of the Nation confirmed that the establishment did not have official authorization to operate

In connection with the new operation, Criminal, Contraventional and Misdemeanor Prosecutor's Office No. 15, led by Federico Tropea, with the intervention of Secretary Marcela López, ordered the kidnapping of all the elements found during the search and notified the three identified for the crimes of cloistered rape and disobedience

.

The striking thing about the case, according to judicial sources, is that illegal medical activity did not stop after the previous closures. After the closure of the first clinic—the one where people with criminal records were also treated—those responsible would have resumed their functions in another location within the same neighborhood, maintaining the same operational structure

.

The investigation is directly linked to previous raids carried out in July 2024 and July 2025, also in Villa 31, where other clandestine clinics operating under similar schemes were dismantled.

In one of these previous cases, specifically in a building located on 400 Sara Beatriz Fernández Street, researchers discovered that the office even treated people with gunshot wounds. During this procedure, a firearm, apocryphal prescriptions, expired medications and medical certificates issued with falsified stamps from the Fernández Hospital were also kidnapped. Another relevant precedent occurred in July 2024, when one of the accused doctors was accused of issuing prescriptions using the seal and signature of a colleague without his consent, a fact that led to a criminal complaint for falsification

of documents.

Tactical teams from the Urban Operations Department (DOU) and the Complex Crimes Division also participated in that intervention, who verified that the clinic operated without authorization and provided care to a wide swath of the population that did not access the formal health system. For the time being, the three identified individuals have been notified in the court case, although without arrest, while the investigation continues to determine the full range of the network that operated

there.
