The Briton prevailed after a changing race, while, with the points earned by Antonelli and Russell, the French team was crowned champion ahead of time. For his part, the Argentine was hindered by a poor start and could not make it into the Top 10
The rain, tire changes, and a series of incidents marked the development of the Brazilian Grand Prix. In this context, Lando Norristook the victory in Interlagos, his third of the year, after dominating much of the race and crossing the finish line with more than 14 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen. Meanwhile, Franco Colapinto finished in 13th place, largely affected by a poor start.
The start of the race was favorable for Andrea Kimi Antonelli. The newly crowned world champion took advantage of the better traction of the intermediate tires to overtake Norris and take the lead. Liam Lawson also managed to advance and position himself behind the Mercedes driver. From the back of the grid, Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton began their respective comebacks, while Colapinto could not replicate his good starts from previous opportunities and lost several positions in the opening meters.
As the asphalt dried, teams began to modify their strategies. Hamilton was one of the first to enter the pits for soft tires, followed by Norris. Antonelli made his stop on lap 18 and managed to maintain the lead, although his peace of mind was short-lived.
Two laps after his stop, the Italian began to report balance issues over the radio and even suspected it could be a suspension problem. Shortly after, he suffered a spin at the entrance of the Senna S and lost the lead to Norris. Hadjar also took advantage of the situation to overtake him, while Verstappen, who had started from 21st place, advanced to fourth position.
With Norris increasingly distant, Red Bull decided to use team orders for Verstappen to try to cut the gap before the second stop, which came on lap 45. However, the strategy did not work. Hadjar expressed his dissatisfaction over the radio and questioned what would happen to his position if the Dutchman could not overtake the Brit. Ultimately, the Frenchman did not regain second place.
The race seemed to be on track when, ten laps from the end, rain returned. The precipitation forced drivers to return to the pits for intermediate tires and changed the closing of the race. George Russell, who had faced issues at the start, was the first to stop. Norris followed him with a 15-second lead over Verstappen, who also entered shortly after.
The new scenario did not alter the top positions: Norris maintained the lead, Verstappen remained second, and Hadjar secured the last spot on the podium. Russell, for his part, took advantage of the situation to overtake Antonelli and take fourth place.
The Italian, who finished fifth, was under investigation for a maneuver at the pit exit. His W17 left the pit lane just as Colapinto was entering, in a situation that nearly caused contact between the two. Regardless of the potential penalty pending resolution, Mercedes secured the constructors' championship, something that had not happened since the 2021 season, thus adding their ninth crown.

Colapinto's Race
As for Colapinto, the Argentine managed to partially recover from his start after falling to 15th place. During the first part of the race, both he and Gasly struggled to maintain control of their A526 on a slippery track, a situation that highlighted their performance issues throughout the weekend.
With the first stops, the Pilar driver managed to position himself seventh before entering the pits and returning to the track in 13th place. He then attempted to advance on Leclerc at the Senna S braking zone, but overshot the reference and crossed in front of the Monegasque. Later, he managed to overtake Alex Albon and remained in the fight to enter the points zone.
The bad start ended up affecting Colapinto's result
One of the most intense moments came in the battle with Nico Hülkenberg. The German managed to overtake the Argentine, but he did so outside the track limits and received a ten-second penalty. Colapinto also had a duel with Lindblad, who managed to pass him after forcing him to go through the outside of the Senna S.
The Argentine managed to position himself within the top 10 on lap 49, but could not maintain that position. Hülkenberg and Lindblad finished ahead of him, and despite the German receiving the penalty, he managed to keep the tenth place and score the last available point. In the end, Colapinto returned to the pits alongside Gasly to put on intermediate tires and finished 13th, with an eight-second advantage over his teammate.
